This Privacy Policy explains how SCKS LLC (“Socks.,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Socks. laundry pickup and delivery apps and website (the “Services”).

Information we collect

• Account information you provide when you sign up — name, email, phone number, and password, or the profile details shared when you sign in with Google or Apple.
• Order and address information — pickup and delivery addresses, ZIP code, laundry preferences, and order history.
• Location information — with your permission, we use your device location to enable pickup and delivery and to match you with a nearby Sockster. You can control this in your device settings.
• Payment information — payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers; Stripe handles card data under its own privacy policy.
• Device and usage information — app version, device type, and diagnostic or crash data used to keep the Services reliable.

How we use information

• Provide, operate, and improve the Services and complete your orders.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery between you and Socksters.
• Process payments, refunds, and wallet balances.
• Send order updates and, where permitted, service notifications.
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
• Comply with legal obligations.

How we share information

• Socksters receive the information needed to complete your order, such as your name, pickup/delivery address, and order details.
• Service providers that operate the Services on our behalf — including Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, notifications) and Stripe (payments).
• Legal and safety — when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users and the public.

We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Your choices and rights

• Access, correct, or update your account information in the app.
• Control location and notification permissions in your device settings.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data at socksxyz.com/deleteaccount or by contacting us.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA/CPRA or GDPR.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
